Baku: Anacl¡udia Rossbach, Executive Director of UN-Habitat, emphasized the significance of transport corridors that stretch from Europe to Asia, highlighting them as crucial infrastructure investments during a special session at the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13). As these investments increase along the Middle Corridor, they traverse from China through Central Asia and Azerbaijan, ultimately reaching European cities, creating opportunities for economic diversification, green industries, advanced logistics services, agro-processing, and digital enterprises.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rossbach noted that the corridor is evolving into a pivotal point for regional development, transcending its role as merely a passage or transit route. She also addressed a critical global issue, stating that 2.8 billion people lack access to safe and adequate housing, with millions displaced due to conflict or climate change.
