Baku: Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), recently met with a delegation from the European External Action Service (EEAS) to discuss potential new cooperation initiatives. The discussion focused on the challenges posed by mines in Azerbaijan and the ongoing efforts to address the issue.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting included a briefing for the EEAS delegation on the current mine problem in Azerbaijan and the various measures being implemented to mitigate it. Both parties shared their perspectives on the European Union's continued support for mine action activities in the region, exploring further cooperation opportunities and addressing other mutual interests.
The meeting was also attended by Marijana Kujund€š¬…¡¬¦¾ic, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan, emphasizing the significance of the dialogue between ANAMA and the EEAS in fostering effective partnerships for mine action.
