Baku: From December 22 to 28, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) conducted extensive mine-clearance operations across several districts, including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, ANAMA successfully detected and neutralized 72 anti-personnel mines, 18 anti-tank mines, and 758 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) during this period. These efforts led to the clearance of a total of 932.9 hectares of land from hazardous mines and ordnances.
The operation's achievements highlight the ongoing commitment and efforts of ANAMA to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of lands affected by past conflicts, making them safe for civilian use and development.
