Baku: The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has reported the discovery of 73 additional mines and 329 unexploded ordnances (UXO) in the recently liberated territories. This discovery was made during the ongoing mine clearance operations conducted over the past week.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the weekly report covering the period from June 22, 2026, to June 28, 2026, detailed the types and numbers of explosives found. The report highlighted that 36 anti-personnel mines and 37 anti-tank mines were among the items uncovered. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to ensure the safety and usability of the liberated regions.

Additionally, it was reported that a total of 1,696.11 hectares of land have been successfully cleared of mines and UXO. These operations are critical for facilitating the safe return of residents and the rehabilitation of these areas.
