ANAMA Employee Injured by Landmine Explosion in Gazakh


Baku: An employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) was injured in a mine explosion in Gazakh on April 28 at approximately 09:45. The incident was reported by APA’s Western Bureau, citing TABIB.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the victim, identified as Elnur Oruj Pashayev, born in 1985, was carrying out his duties in the Gizilhajili village area of the liberated Gazakh district when an anti-personnel mine exploded. The explosion resulted in Pashayev sustaining light injuries to various parts of his body.



Following the incident, Pashayev was promptly evacuated to the Emergency Department of Gazakh District Central Hospital. Medical professionals diagnosed him with a contused wound to the forehead, around the eyes, and nose. After receiving the necessary medical care, he was transferred to the Surgery Department. His condition is reported to be stable, with no life-threatening risks.
