Baku: The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) is actively exploring the potential applications of artificial intelligence in its mine action operations. Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of ANAMA, shared these insights during a briefing celebrating the agency's 28th anniversary.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Suleymanov emphasized the agency's commitment to adopting innovative solutions. He explained that mine action is a multi-stage process where innovations are primarily applicable during the research phase. While the clearance phase still relies on traditional methods such as manual demining and the use of machines and trained animals like dogs, there have been no significant technological advancements in mine clearance globally. ANAMA remains poised to incorporate any new technologies that may arise in the future.
