Baku: Information on the operations carried out in September by the organizations involved in mine clearance activities in the liberated territories has been announced, ANAMA told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 522 anti-personnel mines, 118 anti-tank mines, and 5,286 unexploded ordnance (UXO) were discovered in Tartar, Agdam, Agdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan, as well as in the liberated villages of Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Eskipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh region.

It was reported that a total of 5,622.9 hectares of land were cleared of mines and UXO, ensuring safer conditions for the residents and facilitating the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and repopulate the affected areas.
