Baku: The Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) successfully conducted extensive mine-clearance operations across multiple districts, resulting in the neutralization of a significant number of explosive devices. The operations took place in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, ANAMA reported the detection and neutralization of 410 anti-personnel mines, 71 anti-tank mines, and 1,621 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) over the past week. These efforts have contributed to the safe clearing of a total of 4,264.8 hectares of land.
The mine-clearance operations are a crucial step in ensuring the safety and security of the residents in these areas, allowing for the restoration of normal activities and contributing to regional stability.
