Anama: In a significant breakthrough in mine-clearing operations across Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has successfully neutralized 661 mines and unexploded ordnances (UXOs) over the past week. The operations were conducted in several districts including Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, ANAMA reported that from August 17 to 23, the meticulous operations led to the detection and neutralization of 98 anti-personnel mines, 41 anti-tank mines, and 522 UXOs. The agency emphasized the scope of their efforts, revealing that a total of 1,829.3 hectares of land had been cleared of these dangerous remnants of past conflicts within the reporting period.
