Accra:The opening ceremony for Anar Huseynzade's solo exhibition, titled 'O,' was held at the Museum of Modern Art. The event saw the attendance of notable figures including Alena Aliyeva and Anar Alakbarov, who serves as the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rena Mammadova, Director of the Museum of Modern Art, emphasized the significance of the exhibition, stating that the artworks reflect Huseynzade's thoughts on nature, the world, human creation, and existence. She noted that the pieces encourage visitors to think freely and develop personal interpretations.
Anar Huseynzade shared his insights on creativity and the human search for meaning, explaining that while everyone seeks different things like God, love, or entertainment, the true essence lies in the search itself. His artworks express his personal creative journey, focusing on themes of humanity, memory, spiritual searching, and existence.
Exhibition curator Farida Aliyeva discussed the exhibition's concept and the philosophical meaning of 'O,' describing it as a symbol of truth and spiritual meaning rather than a specific being. The exhibition seeks to create a thematic and conceptual unity among the artworks.
The paintings and portraits delve into the human inner world, with 'O' at the exhibition's core, symbolizing the connection between visible and invisible realms. Inspired by various cultural and philosophical traditions, the works invite visitors to explore humanity’s spiritual quest and form their own interpretations. Huseynzade's artworks are featured in collections across Azerbaijan and numerous countries worldwide.
