Girne: Academician Isa Habibbayli, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), met with a delegation led by Professor Serdar Yurtsever, Rector of Girne American University in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Noting the strengthening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the Organization of Turkic States, Habibbayli highlighted the broad opportunities for scientific and cultural collaboration. He also praised the active participation of Northern Cyprus representatives in events organized by ANAS.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Isa Habibbayli emphasized ANAS's research focus on the humanities, social sciences, and artificial intelligence, expressing readiness to collaborate with Girne American University through joint projects and conferences. In response, Professor Serdar Yurtsever conveyed the university's intention to establish close cooperation with ANAS.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement to formalize their collaborative efforts. The meeting was attended by representatives from Girne American University and senior officials from ANAS.
