Ankara: Students at Gokkusagi School in the Turkish city of Ankara explored global cultures firsthand at the international festival 'International Umbrella Day: Under one roof a thousand colors.'

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the festival aimed to foster respect for cultural diversity, broaden students' worldviews, and introduce them to the history, heritage, and national values of countries from around the world. Representatives from diplomatic missions attended, giving students brief overviews of their countries. National stands from Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Guatemala, Iraq, and Bhutan offered attendees hands-on experiences of different cultures.

The Azerbaijani Cultural Center, under the Azerbaijani Embassy in Trkiye, showcased Azerbaijan's art, literature, historical heritage, and traditional musical instruments. Students and parents explored the stand, discovering the country's rich cultural legacy.

The festival gave students in Ankara a real taste of the world. The event highlighted cultural diversity while promoting friendship, mutual understanding, and curiosity among young participants.

School management, event organizers, and diplomatic representatives emphasized that such cultural projects play a vital role in shaping students' academic, cultural, and global outlooks. The festival will be held annually, bringing together diverse traditions and perspectives each year.
