Ankara: Trkiye is actively supporting initiatives to establish lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. He emphasized that developments in the South Caucasus have a direct impact on Trkiye's security architecture. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Fidan highlighted the trilateral defense agreement involving Trkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, clarifying that it is not directed at Iran or any other state. He reiterated that no state would be considered a target unless it poses a threat to the signatories of the agreement. Fidan further explained that the agreement bears technical similarities to NATO's Article 5. He expressed optimism about the potential for Egypt to join this collaboration in the future and did not dismiss the prospect of forming similar agreements with South Caucasus countries.
