Baku: Weekly (16.06.2026 - 21.06.2026) information on operations carried out by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in the liberated territories has been announced, ANAMA told APA. 84 anti-personnel mines, 29 anti-tank mines, and 514 unexploded ordnance were discovered in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan, as well as in the liberated villages of Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Eskipara, Xeyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh region.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a total of 1,710.16 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance during the operations. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of the liberated territories, allowing for the safe return and resettlement of displaced residents. The comprehensive clearance operations are crucial for the reconstruction and development of the affected regions, which have been heavily impacted by the remnants of conflict.
