Another 117 Mines and 2,254 Unexploded Ordnance Discovered in Azerbaijan’s Liberated Territories

Baku: Another 117 mines and 2,254 unexploded ordnance have been discovered in Azerbaijan's recently liberated territories. Weekly information on operations carried out by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in these areas has been announced, as reported by ANAMA to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discovery includes 83 anti-personnel mines and 34 anti-tank mines, alongside 2,254 unexploded ordnance. These were found in regions such as Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavend, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. The liberated villages of Baganis Ayrim, Ashagi Eskipara, Xeyrimli, and Gizilhajili in the Gazakh region were also part of the clearance operations.

Additionally, it was reported that a total of 2,278.1 hectares of land have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, contributing to the safety and rehabilitation of these territories.
