Baku: It has been 21 years since the establishment of the “Azeri-Press” Agency (APA). The “Azeri-Press” Agency (APA) LLC was registered with the Ministry of Justice on January 8, 2004, and began operations on November 16 of the same year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, APA provides news services in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Persian, and French, covering Azerbaijan’s political, economic, social, cultural, and sports life, along with regional and global events. APA also prepares analytical articles on significant socio-political events both within the country and globally.
APA follows a policy of operational, accurate, and impartial reporting, collaborating with leading mass media, television channels, electronic broadcasting structures, and press organizations in multiple countries. This collaboration is based on agreements achieved for information exchange, and the agency has offices across Azerbaijan and in several foreign countries. Over the years, APA has secured exclusive interviews with ma
ny heads of state and government, ministers, and leaders of international organizations within the UN system.
Within its structure, APA features a specialized economic section known as ‘APA-Economics.’ Its primary goal is to provide readers with timely and objective coverage of significant economic developments in Azerbaijan and worldwide. This section reports on the latest news and analysis in areas such as industry and energy, agro-industrial complexes, finance, information and communication technologies, infrastructure, and social sectors. APA-Economics also delivers objective analytical articles and comprehensive reviews across various economic sectors.
APA-Economics has introduced the ‘ranking culture’ to Azerbaijan, compiling rankings of banks, insurance companies, and stock market participants that have consistently garnered reader interest. Many bank and insurance executives use these rankings as references.
