According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, it is expected that the weather conditions will change drastically in the coming days, and it will be cold and rainy. Cold weather usually leads to a significant increase in the use of gas and electric heating devices. In this case, especially in apartments or private houses, electrical overload, as well as the use of faulty, non-standard, or handmade gas and electric heaters may result in fire.

Taking into account the above-mentioned, the Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to the population and recommends strict observance of fire safety rules. For this purpose, we once again remind you of some safety rules shown below:

Do not use faulty, non-standard, or handmade heating devices!

Avoid electrical overload!

Do not leave heating appliances working, not entrust them to children!

Do not keep flammable materials and liquids near heating devices!

Use the devices in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions (recommendations)!

Only entrust the installation of electricity and gas to specialists and use good quality products for this purpose!

Heaters and chimneys must be regularly checked by specialists!

Do not turn on the lights when you smell gas in the apartment. Open the doors and windows, close the gas entrance to the apartment and call a specialist!
