Armenia failed to refute any of the facts regarding landmines in ICJ

“During the court process, Armenia failed to refute any of the facts presented by us about the discovery of mines in our territories liberated from the occupation that were produced in Armenia in 2021,” said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov at a briefing, regarding the decision of the ICJ on the application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, held on February 22, 2023, APA reports.

The Deputy Minister also added that these mines could be only brought through the Lachin road.

“This showed that in the last 2 years, Armenia violates the obligations arising from the trilateral statements,” said Elnur Mammadov.
