“The Armenian side returned remains of bodies to Azerbaijan in a mixed form,” said Eldar Samadov, deputy head of the working group of Azerbaijan’s State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, APA reports.

According to him, this fact proves that the bodies were buried in mass graves: “Although somebody remains were returned to Azerbaijan by the mediation of International Red Cross Committee, currently the identification process of their identities is underway. Body remains were taken mainly from the territories where groundwater passes. Therefore it is very difficult to take DNA samples from these body remains. Exact information on the number of the body remains there will be at the final stage.”
