Armenia should stop hostility and look to the future – Turkish Defense Minister

“The presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey have opened the door to a new era based on stability and cooperation, demonstrating a very constructive approach to bequeathing peace to future generations,” Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said at an event on the occasion of Victory Day in Baku, APA reports.

“We expect the Armenian authorities to set aside their current policies and take advantage of this historic opportunity, including the Six Platform Initiative. Everyone should know that a future cannot be built on hatred and animosity. Armenia should stop its hostility and look to the future. With this understanding, we will continue to strive for peace and stability in our region with the historical responsibility we are committed to,” he said.

He also thanked Pakistan, which has always stood by Azerbaijan in the Karabakh issue.

“Long live the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood!” Hulusi Akar said.
