Armenia wants to settle relations with Turkey without opening a corridor through Zangezur

Armenia should settle relations with Turkey, achieve peace and stability in the region, head of the Armenian Security Council, Armen Grigoryan stated at a briefing in Yerevan on Friday.

“Within the framework of this logic, we should also settle relations with Turkey. This settlement should be gradual. We are confident that for the conflict settlement it is essential to improve a dialogue between Armenia and Turkey at the highest level, so political steps are taken on this track,” Grigoryan said.

At the same time, he added that it would be very difficult to start normalizing relations under terms of Turkey that called for the opening of the Zangezur corridor.
