Armenian Defense Minister met with new commander of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh

Armenian Defence minister Arshak Karapetyan has met with the Russian delegation, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defence, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

The sides have discussed the activity of Russia’s peacekeepers in Karabakh. The delegation has included Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, Lieutenant General Gennady Anashkin, and Major General Mikhail Kosobokov.

It is noted that the Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant-General Rustam Muradov, introduced the new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Karabakh, the hero of Russia, Lieutenant-General Gennady Anashkin.

The sides have highly appreciated Russia’s efforts directed military-political stabilization in the region and that they are pleased with the effective activity of Russia’s peacekeepers in Karabakh.
