Baku: The hearings at the Baku Military Court on Monday heard testimonies by victim Elshad Alishov regarding the extermination of the population of the Bashlibel village of Kalbajar district. According to Alishov, he, along with his family members and relatives, had no choice but to leave the village via tunnel, following the occupation of Kalbajar district.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Alishov testified that Armenian forces besieged the tunnel, firing at every vehicle attempting to pass through. During the attack, Alishov’s mother sustained a leg injury, while his sister suffered wounds to her mouth. He managed to save his mother but was unable to rescue the rest of his relatives trapped in the tunnel.

Alishov further recounted that his neighbor, Yusif, and his family members were also injured during the assault, with Yusif’s brother being killed. The trial is ongoing for Armenian nationals accused of various crimes, including crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, acts of terrorism, and other offenses tied to Armenia’s military actions.
