Baku: During a trial at the Baku Military Court, Armenian citizen and military serviceman Davit Manukyan, who holds the rank of Major General in the Armenian Armed Forces, made significant admissions regarding Armenian involvement in the conflict against Azerbaijan. Manukyan confirmed that the “Shushi” special military battalion, active in the Karabakh region, was under the command of Jirayr Sefilyan, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Manukyan, in responding to queries, acknowledged his ignorance about Sefilyan’s Beirut origins. He described Sefilyan as originating from “Western Armenia” while emphasizing his Armenian citizenship. Manukyan further revealed that the “Dashnak” battalion, which was engaged in combat against Azerbaijani forces in Karabakh, comprised various detachments, including fighters from both Karabakh and Armenia.
