Baku: Armenian media have once again reported that Lebanese mercenary terrorist Viken Eulcekcian, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his involvement in the conflict in Karabakh, has been on a hunger strike for over a month.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, information obtained from reliable sources indicates that the reports from the Armenian media regarding Eulcekcian’s alleged hunger strike are untrue. The Armenian media has been accused of raising this issue without any factual basis.

Eulcekcian was held criminally liable in a case initiated by the State Security Service. He was charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including Article 114.3 for being a mercenary, Articles 214.2.1 and 214.2.3 for terrorism, Article 228.2.1 for the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, and carrying of firearms and ammunition, Article 279.1 for creating armed formations not provided for by law, and Article 318.2 for the illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan.

In 2021, Viken Eulcekcian was subsequently sentenced to 20 years in prison for his crimes.
