Armenian MFA Confirms Peace Treaty Draft with Azerbaijan Ready for Signing


Yerevan: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has confirmed the approval of a draft agreement on peace and the establishment of interstate relations with Azerbaijan. The announcement signifies the completion of negotiations on this matter, as reported by the Armenian MFA.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Armenian MFA communicated through diplomatic channels to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan about Armenia’s acceptance of Azerbaijan’s proposals concerning two unresolved articles in the draft agreement, titled “Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”



The Armenian MFA’s statement further elaborates that with this development, the peace agreement is ready for signing. Armenia has expressed readiness to consult with Azerbaijan regarding the timing and location for signing the document.



Additionally, Armenian Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov mentioned to journalists that the negotiation process on the text of the peace agreement between the two countries has concluded. He highlighted that Armenia has communicated its acceptance of the last two remaining articles to Azerbaijan.
