Armenian missile strikes cause terrible destruction in Ganja – says head of Brasil-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group

“This is my second visit to Azerbaijan. Today in Ganja I saw the situation in the area fired by Armenia. I could not imagine such a terrible tragedy,” Antonio Anastasia, chairman of the Brazilian-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group in the Senate, who visited the area in the Ganja city fired by Armenia, told APA.

Antonio Anastasia noted that as a result of Armenian missile strikes, terrible destruction was caused in Ganja: “We are in solidarity with the Azerbaijani people. We are for peace, we do not want the civilian population to suffer in the war.”

He emphasized that one year has passed since the war: “It is good that the occupied territories have been liberated. Brazilians do not know much about the region. What is important for us is peace. No war should cause the death of civilians. Before coming to Ganja, I could not have imagined such a terrible tragedy and destruction. We show solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan and call on the people for peace.”
