Krasnodar: A scandal broke out during the match between Krasnodar and Akhmat, which was held within the framework of the 11th round of the Russian Premier League.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the captain of the home team and a member of the Armenian national team, Eduard Spertsyan, was accused of racially abusing the opponent’s player, Usman Ndonga.

The incident escalated when the 26-year-old defender, Ndonga, reacted by hitting Spertsyan after the alleged insult, resulting in Ndonga being punished with a red card. In a statement after the game, Spertsyan denied the allegations, stating that he did not insult Ndonga.

The 25-year-old midfielder, Spertsyan, is facing a potential suspension for 10 games by the Russian Football Federation due to the accusations of racism. It should be noted that the match concluded with a 2-0 victory for Krasnodar.
