Armenia’s Missile Attack Anniversary Ganja Reflects on Tragic Events

Ganja:Six years have passed since the Armenian missile attack on Ganja, Azerbaijan's second-largest city, during the Patriotic War. The attack, which occurred at approximately 100 a.m. on October 17, 2020, targeted the Javadkhan settlement using SCUD/Elbrus operational-tactical ballistic missiles.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this strike by Armenian forces was part of a series of attacks on Ganja, which is located outside the frontline zone. The assault devastated residential buildings, leaving residents trapped under debris. Fourteen people were killed, and more than 55 others sustained injuries. The victims included children, women, and elderly individuals, and widespread damage affected civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
