Azerbaijani Army serviceman, senior lieutenant Ahmadov Orkhan Mammadagha oglu committed suicide on July 12 by shooting himself with his service weapon – Makarov pistol, the Ministry of Defence said in an answer to the query of APA.

The Ministry noted that the incident took place in non-combat conditions and according to the initial probability, it was not related to military service.

A criminal case has been launched and an investigation is underway.
