The match further tilted in Atlético's favor when Jonathan David found the back of the net in the 90th minute, followed by Giuliano Simeone who sealed the victory with a goal in the 90+5 minute. Real Sociedad's midfielder, Arsen Zakharyan, made his second appearance for the club this season, coming on as a substitute in the 85th minute. His first appearance was in the opening game of the Spanish league season against Real Betis, where Real Sociedad also faced a loss with a scoreline of 0-1. In the league standings, Atlético Madrid is positioned fourth with 10 points, while Real Sociedad holds the 12th spot with seven points.
