Baku: ‘Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan peoples are united not only by a common history and culture but also by feelings of brotherhood, friendship, and mutual connection,’ said Ismat Sattarov, chairman of the Azerbaijan Republic Audiovisual Council, during his speech at the Second Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Media Forum on the topic of ‘Digital Transformation and Media,’ APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sattarov emphasized that the Forum is a testament to the deep-rooted brotherhood between the two nations. He highlighted that the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, have transformed the historical friendship into a strategic partnership and alliance. This political commitment has opened new avenues for cooperation across various sectors, including media.

Sattarov noted the significance of media collaboration between the two countries, particularly in the context of digital transformation, information security, and media resilience. He stressed the importance of working together on joint projects, information exchange, technological trends, and professional exchanges among journalists. Sattarov expressed confidence that the Forum would serve as a successful platform for enhancing media cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
