Baku: The volume of violations identified under compliance elements during audit inspections last year has been disclosed, APA reports. This is reflected in the 'Report on the Activities of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025.'
It was noted that the audits covered the State Oil Fund, the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, as well as the budget and extra-budgetary funds of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. During the inspections, the forecasting, calculation, and execution of revenues and expenditures, as well as the fulfillment of other obligations, were assessed from the perspectives of compliance, financial accuracy, and efficiency.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the audit results revealed violations under compliance elements amounted to 584.8 million manats, financial distortions to 626.3 million manats, and inefficient expenditures to 342.9 million manats. Of the financial violations identified under compliance elements, 170.4 million manats constituted damage to the state budget. Of this amount, 101.5 million manats has been restored, while decisions were made to refer materials related to 40.2 million manats to law enforcement agencies. As for 28.7 million manats, which consisted of social payments to the population, no direct recovery measures were determined; instead, a decision was made to suspend these payments in accordance with relevant procedures.
