Baku: On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alexander Van der Bellen, the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, conveyed his warmest congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Van der Bellen highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Austria, noting that opportunities for further cooperation are poised to expand. He emphasized that the prospects for sustainable peace and security between Azerbaijan and Armenia are nearing realization, which would be mutually beneficial for the citizens of both nations.

In a multilateral context, Van der Bellen expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's confirmed support of Austria's candidature for a seat on the UN Security Council for the term 2027-2028. He concluded his message by extending his best wishes for the well-being of the President of Azerbaijan and his family, as well as for the peaceful and prosperous future of the Azerbaijani people.
