Baku: Operations aimed at preventing the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs are continuing by officers of the Main Department for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. During another operation carried out in the capital, 28-year-old Ismayil Muradov and 32-year-old Chingiz Guliyev were detained. A total of 21 kilograms of marijuana mixed with harmful substances was seized from them. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the investigation established that Muradov and Guliyev had entered into a criminal connection with an Iranian citizen whose identity is currently under investigation, and planned to place the narcotic drugs at pre-determined locations for sale. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident, and by court decision, a measure of restraint in the form of pretrial detention has been imposed on the detained individuals.
