In 2022 the average monthly nominal wage in Azerbaijan rose by 14.7%, the State Statistics Committee said. When deciding on indexation of the size of labour pensions, the head of state will be guided by this index.

According to SSC, the average monthly salary of employees in 2022 was 839.4 manat ($493.7). As of January 1 this year the country’s economy employed 1,733,900 people, which is up by 24,800 people or 1.5% from the beginning of 2022.

In 2021, the average annual growth of wages in Azerbaijan amounted to 3.4%. The insurance part of labor pensions was indexed by the same amount by the Presidential decree of February 8, 2022.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population, nowadays the average size of labor pensions in Azerbaijan reaches 400 manat ($235).
