Baku: In January-November 2025, the average monthly nominal wage of employees in Azerbaijan's economy saw a 9.3 percent rise compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching 1,089.2 manat.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this increase was reported by the State Statistical Committee.

The data highlighted that the average monthly nominal wage was notably higher in sectors such as the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, and transport and storage. As of December 1, 2025, the number of wage-employed workers in the country's economy reached 1,797.4 thousand, with 869.0 thousand employed in the public sector and 928.4 thousand in the non-public sector.

The report detailed employment distribution across various sectors: 18.6 percent of employees were in trade and vehicle repair, 18.2 percent in education, 14.0 percent in industry, 8.5 percent in health care and social services, 6.7 percent in construction, 6.3 percent in public administration and defense, 4.5 percent in transport and storage, 3.9 percent in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4 percent in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2.3 percent in financial and insurance activities, with the remaining 14.6 percent engaged in other sectors of the economy.
