AZAL Crew Members Honored at II Alley of Honor on Baku-Grozny Flight Crash Anniversary

Baku: On the anniversary of the crash of an AZAL aircraft operating the Baku-Grozny flight near the city of Aktau on December 25, 2024, the graves of the crew members were visited at the Second Alley of Honor, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, AZAL President Samir Rzayev, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, AZAL employees, and the family members of the deceased visited the graves of National Heroes Hokuma Aliyeva, Igor Kshnyakin, and Alexander Kalyaninov, who lost their lives, at the Second Alley of Honor.

The tragic incident involved an Embraer passenger aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines, which crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan. The flight had 67 people on board, including 5 crew members. The crash resulted in the loss of 38 lives, affecting citizens from Azerbaijan, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
