AZAL Expands Route Network with New Tabriz Flights and Increased Tehran Connections

Baku: Azerbaijan’s national air carrier, AZAL, is set to enhance its connectivity with Iran by launching new direct flights to Tabriz and increasing the frequency of its existing flights to Tehran. The airline will commence operations on the Baku-Tabriz-Baku route starting June 15, with tickets going on sale later today, as confirmed by AZAL to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Baku-Tabriz flights will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays. This new route is aimed at boosting travel opportunities between Azerbaijan and Iran, facilitating cultural and economic exchanges. Tabriz, known for its historical significance and cultural landmarks, is expected to attract travelers interested in exploring its rich heritage.

Additionally, AZAL is increasing the number of flights on the Baku-Tehran-Baku route to four times a week. These flights will now operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, offering more options for passengers traveling between the two capitals.
