AZAL Launches Direct Flights to Atyrau and Aktobe

Baku: Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is set to introduce direct scheduled flights to the Kazakh cities of Atyrau and Aktobe. AZAL informed APA-Economics that these new routes are designed to enhance transport links between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, providing increased travel opportunities for passengers. Tickets for these routes have already been made available for purchase.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the inaugural flight to Atyrau is scheduled for August 16, 2026, while the first flight to Aktobe is slated for September 16, 2026. The Baku-Atyrau-Baku route will see flights four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Meanwhile, the Baku-Aktobe-Baku route will operate three times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

These new services aim to establish direct air links with significant economic centers in western Kazakhstan, facilitating business travel and creating additional opportunities for tourism and humanitarian exchanges.

Atyrau is recognized as a crucial hub in Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector and as an important economic city within the Caspian region. Aktobe is noted for its role as one of the country's major regional centers, boasting a well-developed industrial, logistics, and trade infrastructure.

Passengers can purchase air tickets through the official AZAL website, the airline's mobile application, ticket offices, and accredited agencies.
