Baku: Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flights J2-285 and J2-291, which were operating the Baku-Nakhchivan route, returned to Baku due to thunderstorms and hail affecting the region. The aircraft successfully landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 9:27 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decision to return was made to ensure the safety of passengers and crew amid adverse weather conditions. The press service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC confirmed that the decision was taken in response to severe weather, which included thunderstorms and hail, impacting the flight path to Nakhchivan.
