Jakarta:A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between AZCON Holding and DP World to expand their cooperation in ports, logistics, shipbuilding, and maritime transport.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of experience and expertise in optimizing, digitalizing, and automating port operations, alongside the introduction of modern port technologies.

The collaboration will also explore potential models for developing port and logistics infrastructure in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region. This includes investigating new investment opportunities and the joint financing and operation of maritime vessels to support the oil and gas sector.

Additionally, the partnership seeks to enhance shipbuilding and repair capabilities in Azerbaijan, increasing the utilization of existing production capacities and expanding relevant services throughout the Caspian region.

Further areas of cooperation include implementing joint initiatives for training port management personnel, exchanging knowledge, and sharing best practices.
