Azerbaijan Advances Residential Development in Zangilan with New Apartment Complexes

ZANGILAN – Azerbaijan is progressing in its efforts to rebuild and modernize Zangilan city with the construction of two new residential complexes designed to accommodate a total of 511 apartments, enhancing the urban infrastructure and housing capabilities in the region.

According to Trend News Agency, Ilhamiya Rzayeva, spokesperson for the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, detailed the scope of the ongoing construction projects during a press briefing. Rzayeva described the fifth residential complex, which is strategically positioned in the city’s central part, covering five hectares and featuring diverse building heights, ranging from three to six floors. “The fifth residential complex will provide 334 apartments and is located near essential community facilities including a school, kindergarten, the Zangilan Congress Center, and a city park,” Rzayeva explained.

The sixth residential complex, also situated in a central urban area near educational, administrative, and commercial zones, will span three hectares and include buildings of similar height, offering 177 apartments. “This project is part of our broader effort to enhance the living conditions and urban appeal of Zangilan,” she added.

Rzayeva also highlighted a completed project within the city—a 104-apartment complex that spans 1.92 hectares and includes 12 buildings. This complex, characterized by modernist and minimalist architectural styles with traditional national ornaments, reinforces the aesthetic and functional renewal of the city’s residential landscape.

These developments are part of Azerbaijan’s larger initiative to revitalize Zangilan by creating well-planned, multifunctional residential zones that integrate seamlessly with the city’s social and educational structures, aiming to foster a vibrant and sustainable urban environment.
