Azerbaijan Aims to Boost Non-Oil and Gas Exports to 30% of Total Exports

Baku:Expanding non-oil and gas exports is one of Azerbaijan's main objectives, with the goal of increasing this sector's share in total exports to 30%, according to Huseyn Huseynov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy. He made these remarks during a panel session titled "Business Dialogue" at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, new mechanisms have been implemented to support export growth and reduce costs for foreign market access. These measures include subsidizing up to 70% of transportation costs for non-oil and gas exporters who meet specific criteria, and providing partial compensation of customs duties for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Huseynov also highlighted the importance of access to affordable financing as a critical element in supporting entrepreneurship. In the first nine months of 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy allocated approximately AZN 246 million in concessional loans to support over 4,000 projects.

Further, he emphasized the significance of international cooperation to expand ties with the global business community and establish new partnerships.
