Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Algeria's Minister of Finance Abdelkrim Bouzred on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group. The meeting served as a platform to explore potential areas for economic cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions centered around the agenda of economic cooperation, with a particular focus on expanding trade and investment ties. The ministers also considered the possibilities for establishing new cooperation platforms to strengthen bilateral relations.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects for enhancing cooperation in various sectors such as industry, energy, small and medium-sized enterprises, tourism, transit, and logistics. They underscored the importance of diversifying economic relations and promoting interaction between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Algeria.
