Baku: Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, met with Nan Yi, President of China’s Universal Energy Company. The discussions centered around the construction progress of the Gobustan Solar Power Plant, marking it as the first auction-based renewable energy project in Azerbaijan with a capacity of 100 MW.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the officials highlighted the installation of the first panel of the plant, which was completed today. The meeting also explored the potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, the discussions included Universal Energy’s experience in long-term and safe energy storage technologies, which could play a significant role in future projects.
