Baku:The Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI) and the Netherlands' VSL National Metrology Institute have entered into a memorandum of understanding to enhance scientific and technical collaboration. The AzMI operates under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the document was signed by AzMI Director General Khamis Seyranov and VSL CEO Fabienne van Booma.

The agreement aims to foster joint research and facilitate the exchange of scientific and technical knowledge. It focuses on developing and improving measurement standards and enhancing cooperation in calibration and testing. The memorandum also emphasizes professional development through seminars and training.

Moreover, the agreement includes participation in interlaboratory comparisons to boost the reliability of measurement results and ensure laboratories meet international quality standards.
