Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Eswatini, focusing on the development of the mining industry. The agreement aims to promote collaborative efforts in mining, geological exploration, and investment opportunities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the document was signed by Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of 'AzerGold' CJSC, representing Azerbaijan, and His Royal Highness Prince Lonkhokhela, Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, representing Eswatini. The MoU outlines cooperation in areas such as geological exploration, technical cooperation, and the exchange of geological, commercial, and regulatory data.

The agreement also includes joint projects, investment models, and service contracts, with provisions for establishing joint working groups, reciprocal site visits, and organizing conferences and seminars. The partnership is expected to strengthen ties between Azerbaijan and Eswatini, fostering a long-term collaboration in the mining sector.
