Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Romeo Mikautadze has paid a working visit to Azerbaijan, noted in the statement of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.

Noted that Romeo Mikautadze has met with the President of AzerEnergy OJSC Baba Rzayev within the framework of the visit. The sides discussed priority areas of energy cooperation between the two countries. It was noted at the meeting that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Georgia in the energy sector.

It was also noted during the meeting that the development of the existing power transmission infrastructure is on the agenda. The parties have also discussed ongoing joint projects for the construction of additional transmission lines.
