Baku: The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia convened for another round of consular consultations in Baku, signaling a commitment to strengthen their bilateral relations. The discussions were spearheaded by Emil Safarov, who heads the Consular Department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Giorgi Tabatadze, Director of the Directorate of International Legal, Consular, and Diaspora Affairs of Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev, Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze, and officials from Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office, Ministry of Justice, and State Migration Service. The consultations served as a platform for exchanging views on the current state and future prospects of consular cooperation, with discussions touching upon the signing of bilateral documents.

The talks also delved into the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, provision of consular assistance, and enhancing cooperation in various fields. Both parties agreed to intensify their collaborative efforts and explored avenues for cooperation in justice, migration, education, social protection, and other significant sectors. The meeting concluded with the signing of a protocol, marking a step forward in the consular partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
